Foster homes are crucial to our rescue group, thanks for helping!
We need foster homes in the Plattsburgh, NY area, all of Vermont (esp. in the south) and NH. If you want to assist us in short term foster or long term foster care, send us this form.  :)

Being a foster parent is a big job. This is where the pug goes for his/her transition period. Some pugs will need to be nursed back to health, or trained. A foster parent is the one who will get the pug(s) ready for their new homes.

Most of our rescue pugs have health issues, sometimes just minor ones. GMPR will cover the vet costs for these pugs, but just be aware of this if you decide to foster.

YOU MUST BE 18 TO FILL THIS OUT!

Please provide us with the name, address and phone number of your veterinarian.
Please provide us with two references and their phone numbers.  One of the references must not be related to you.
Have you or anyone in your family owned or fostered a Pug dog?
If yes, when and for how long?
Do you own or rent your home?
Allowed to have pets?
Do you have a fenced-in yard?
Do you have a pool?
If renting, please provide landlords name & number.

Have you ever had to give up a pet?
If yes, what was done with the pet?

Do you have any children living at home- if so what ages?

Do you presently own any pets?
If yes, what kind and how old are they?

Are your dogs spayed/neutered?
How have you handled taking a pet out to go to the bathroom?  Do you open the door and let them out or do you leash walk them?

Where will you keep the dog when you are away?  What do you do with any current pets?

Do you have a place in your house where the foster dog can be quarantined away from your other pets?

Are you aware that we get pugs in from time to time with health problems and need medical attention and lots of tender loving care? Are you ready to take in a dog with such needs?

*Your vet will be paid via our account, always ask for a rescue discount.

Do you feel you can handle a dog with a behavioral problem such as "marking in the house"?
I verify, by checking here, that I have answered these questions truthfully, and that I am at least 18 years old.
