Duke is anxiously awaiting his "Forever Home." He has been in foster care for over 9 months. Duke has diabetes and requires Vetsulin injections twice a day. We feel that all of his good qualities far outweigh the fact that he is diabetic. Duke is energetic, smart, and loving. He is housebroken if taken out regularly. He loves to play with his foster sister who is 2 year old female pug. Duke is about 80% blind , but gets around extremely well. His foster family have not tested him with toddlers, but he will do well with dog savvy children. He seems to charm everyone he meets. Duke is a sweetheart and so deserving of a "Forever Family"

Rescued Pug Stories

Dory joined our family of pugs on November 8, 2014. At the time she shared us with 2 elderly pug boys-- Gin and Tucker. Gin passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Easter Sunday at 18.5 years old. Tucker crossed over last week at 15.5. Dory is now an "only pug" so she gets all the attention now from her parents, Lisa and Bill Hettler.

Dory is an obedient nosy girl. She has never had an accident in our home. She listens to instructions like she is human. She snuggles under a blanket with me at night, and after 4 previous pugs, we feel she is the smartest we have ever had. She walks with me every morning in all weather and enjoys our car trips to Lake George to our Lake House. We love her so much. She has been a pleasure as part of our family. - Elise Hettler
